The water levels around the house have been slowly but steadily rising. I see the dark, pregnant clouds in the distance, ready to release their rain on us again. I fear the house will not survive it. We've taken everything off of the floor and stacked the furniture, but now the water completely encircles our little hovel. Is this our punishment for following the Empress? We stand together and pray the stagnant water stops rising, for it is all we can do.
