This darkness - this decay of my soul I am afraid has gotten too large for me to pray to the light alone.
The eyes are the lamp of the body. Are they truly the windows to the soul?
I cannot allow this darkness to spread. Others must not know the darkness that has seeped its way into my core.
I feared I was at risk for excommunication, should I be found out. I sought guidance from other children of the light. I confessed my wrongdoings and how I have strayed from the church. It was then in which I discovered that the Inquisition itself is corrupt. This corruption is rooted far deeper than I ever could have imagined.
I will not bear witness to this any longer. I will raze my soul from the inside out, beginning with my eyes.
