Ah the Towers of Nighthaven, you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all, as they say. Well I have seen them all, and personally find it fascinating that each tower is an almost exact copy of the next. Considering their number and distance apart, this seems an impressive feat of engineering. Perhaps an exchange of ideas amongst builders is likely? Or are there more mystical underpinnings to the duplication of these soaring edifices?

The Tower of the Emperor has the same Romano-Gothic style as the numerous chapels and halls across Nighthaven. This style is much older than the Baroque and Late Gothic manors and castles that many Upyr Families now favor. Infact, I have seen the undercroft of Castle Dracula and believe it is of this same period, indicating the castle has seen several eras of construction, each layering a new style on top of the old.

Thick walls bastion the tower, and the few windows give an almost fortress-like appearance, but to what purpose? Rough rib vaults along the interior passages allow for high ceilings over the endlessly spiraling staircases leading to the upper keep. Meanwhile, a collection of Grotesques loom over the eaves and corbels, guarding the magically sealed doorways.
