The Warrior King comes across a marvelous room filled with piles of many treasures. The moment he steps forward into the room, there is the telltale click of a trap. With only a moment to think, what direction does he move?
To move forward and to the right, turn to paragraph 89.
To move backwards and to the left, turn to paragraph 196.
Paragraph 56
After burning the mushrooms, a doorway is revealed leading to another room. Massive tree roots have pierced the ceiling and grown down inside this room, allowing a single shaft of light to enter and illuminate a chest upon a pedestal. There is water all around the pedestal, and a series of crates stacked along the wall.
To swim to the pedestal, turn to paragraph 103.
To climb up the crates, turn to paragraph 134.
Paragraph 57
The closest shortcut shown on the map seems safe enough. A lever opens a narrow corridor just large enough to slip inside. No sooner does the Warrior King step inside, the hidden door closes, and there is no lever on this side. Determined to go forward, the Warrior King starts down the corridor, only to have slicing blades whirl out of the walls, while larger blades drop down from above.
The Warrior King dies unfulfilled.
